Bungalow Sun Club EM259A by VillaGranCanaria

We were in privately rented bungalow 457C, near the pool but still very quiet, with hardly anyone walking past. We loved it and will definitely come back to this particular bungalow. Fantastic park!

The lady who welcomed us was helpful and easy to reach on WhatsApp. The bungalow was roomy and had AC in both the living room and bedroom. The kitchen had an oven and microwave, though no basics like salt, pepper or oil. The washing machine came with soap pods and softener, which was handy. Two small drawbacks: you can hear some road traffic from the terrace, although it isn't heavy, and the large pool was fairly quiet in November but you have to cross the street to get to it.

The bathroom was disgusting, with rust in the bath and brown stuff on the tiles when we arrived. The bungalow smelled, the staff were unhelpful, and sheets weren't changed until after seven days. We had only three towels for four people. The electricity felt dangerous, and after I called reception, someone came 18 hours later. The oven kept tripping the power too. The pool wasn't heated, and when we asked why, they asked why we wanted it heated. The bar and restaurant stayed closed for our entire visit. When we asked about that, we were told there were bars and restaurants in town, then asked why we needed them open. That seemed to be their way of answering questions, by asking why you need something. There was no trolley for our bags, so we had to walk 500 yards. They said they had no key for the nearby gate. The TV only worked in German, with the English channels blocked. Staff had to wash our clothes because guests weren't allowed to use the machine themselves, and some items were missing when they came back. When we asked, we were told the clothes were all there. Reception was open only four days a week, from 9am to 1pm, and came across as totally unprofessional. From what I saw, staff were friendly only to German speakers. Please, if this is your only accommodation choice, staff at home. The bungalows were filthy and smelly, and the staff unfriendly.

The service was great, and the accommodation was impeccable.
