The staff are wonderfully friendly, the maids are attentive, the resort is clean, and dinner is good, with a nice range of drinks. Those things made for a good stay, even though the food and some of the arrangements could be better. Lunch was the weakest meal. You order at the pool bar, and it seemed like quick food that had just been reheated, though some dishes were better than others. I’d avoid the fish. I also had a terrible stomach after eating shrimp, so I’d steer clear of shrimp and other shellfish. There could be more soup choices too, since it was almost always vegetable. Breakfast was OK, but both my omelettes were undercooked, as the chef seemed rushed. Some dishes could use clearer labels, and every morning I had to guess which juice was which 🥶 The queue directions were frustrating, and a one-way system would make things less hectic. It’s a good choice for a quiet holiday if you plan to get out and explore. There are good facilities, including a gym, laundry facilities and a nice clean pool. The entertainment could be better, but perhaps that’s why it was child-free, since the amenities didn’t stretch to that. It wasn’t the worst thing, but we all like some fun.

The lunch setup was inconvenient, since you have to order à la carte at the pool bar. Most of what we had was greasy deep-fried food, and sadly it didn’t taste very good. The daily cleaning wasn’t very thorough either. Someone came every day, but the same dirty spots stayed there all week, so it was hard to tell what had been cleaned. Still, this was a calm, pleasant place to relax, and we had a very nice stay at Canary Garden Club on Gran Canaria. The resort has many small bungalows split into four apartments, but each one has a private terrace with seating and deckchairs, so there’s a good amount of privacy. The pool isn’t big, but it’s plenty for a swim and a cool-off, and we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. The food was very good apart from lunch. There wasn’t the huge choice you’d get at a larger all-inclusive resort, but what was offered tasted great. If you want to explore the island, I’d recommend renting a car, since the resort is a bit outside.

A relaxed atmosphere, good food and a spotlessly clean place. There were no fights over sunbeds, and the evening entertainment was good too. There’s no tourist tax to pay, and a safe is included free. Our bungalow had two TVs, free Netflix and three English channels.

We spent most of our time around the pool, though the beach isn’t too far to walk if you want to go. It was peaceful and quiet, with loads of sunbeds, and paying a little extra for a Balinese bed is worth considering. The food was lovely, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. For a livelier evening, Yumbo centre is just a short taxi ride away. We had a brilliant holiday last week and loved being well looked after. I’d highly recommend it if you want a quiet stay.
