Bungalows Parque Paraiso II

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a very poor economy option, with little variety in the food and not much that’s good to eat.

We’re staying here now, in one of the bungalows. There’s plenty of space, split between a living room and bedroom. The rooms are clean, though you can see some wear, and there’s no daily room service. Remember to bring towels and shower cream. The restaurant service is what let us down. We booked half board, so drinks weren’t included, and most evenings we ordered water. On the last two nights, the staff served the tables around us but ignored us, and we couldn’t get a chance to order. I eventually had to involve the manager. The waiter came over without apologizing, as if nothing had happened, and then returned with the manager. We asked for still water, but got sparkling water and the bill. We saw plenty of satisfied guests, but we’re really disappointed and can’t recommend the hotel. We won’t be back.

The bungalow was spacious and private, the beds were very comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a great job. Breakfast was alright too. Dinner was the big disappointment. There was enough choice, about what you’d expect at a three-star place, but the food tasted really bad and the quality didn’t come close to that level. This was our third three-star stay on Gran Canaria, so it was a nasty surprise. Management should put a bit more work into it. It left a bitter taste. We might return, but we’d book breakfast only.

The bungalows, gardens and pool area were remarkably clean, and the bungalows had just been renovated. The staff were so welcoming, polite and kind, and we felt looked after as well as at much pricier four-star resorts. We had a very pleasant, worthwhile stay, even though we probably wouldn’t book accommodation in Playa del Ingles again. Highly recommended if you’re in Playa del ingles.
