Don Gregorio

We visited in mid May 25 and it was very quiet. Most days we had the pool to ourselves, which suited us. The apartment was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the room was cleaned regularly with towels changed. For a budget place, I can’t fault it. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. The Yumbo centre is an easy walk, and there’s a supermarket about 200 metres away with very low prices, 1 litre Bacardi €15, very important 😉. If I’m back in Gran Canaria, I’d book Don Gregorio again.

Our room was near the road, and the jalousie windows let in quite a bit of sound, so traffic woke us on a few nights. Apart from that, there were only minor issues during the week. The staff were very helpful. They also let us stay by the pool after checkout while waiting for our afternoon flight, and even let us use the shower. We were happy with our stay overall. Great location, helpful staff and an okay room. At this price for a week in this spot, you can’t really complain. If you’re after a basic apartment at a low price and in a good location, this fits. For a luxury apartment, a warm pool or quiet rooms, you’d need to pay more somewhere else. I’d stay here again on a budget.

Very good value for money, and in a nice part of Play del Ingles. My room was spacious, simple and really clean, with a balcony. I think I paid just over 50€ a night, which is excellent. The pool area was quiet and clean too. I’d stay again.
