Apartamentos El Paseo

The view from the balconies over the beach and dunes is amazing. There are two balconies, so we could always catch a lovely breeze, especially nice at night. Staff were friendly and helpful, and cleaning twice a week was enough for us. The kitchen had good equipment, but the furniture, bathroom, beds and linen all need a major update. Internet was weak and limited to three devices, and the safe costs extra. There's no elevator, which made the stairs tedious for those of us with bad knees. Beach entertainment went on constantly from mid morning until late, which made it hard to relax.

Julia, the manager, was so welcoming, friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to meet. The rest of the El Peoseo team were lovely too, always friendly, polite and welcoming. We only stayed two nights and wished we'd booked all eight nights of our holiday here. The small block is clean and well cared for, with garden seating areas and a pool, in a quiet spot very close to the beach and commercial center below. Our apartment was much larger than we expected, bright, beautiful throughout and extremely clean. We were lucky to have a corner unit with two balconies, one smaller one off the very large bedroom that still had a table and chairs and room to move, and a larger one at the front with a fantastic sea view. There was lots of bedroom storage, and the very large bed was comfortable, so we slept well. There was a TV in both the bedroom and the huge living area, plus a nice bathroom with a good shower. The place had everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of storage, a good sized worktop, full size fridge freezer, cooking equipment, microwave and kettle. The only thing that could use replacing was the very wobbly ironing board. Thanks Julia and team, we had a relaxing stay and will return.

Everything we needed was waiting when we arrived, including a gallon of water, kitchen towels, washing up soap and a sponge. Bathrobes and bikes were available too. Parking was easy on the street right outside. The apartment was clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We had a sea view from the first floor and it was perfect. The location is ideal, close to the beach and restaurants without much noise. We visited in September, so it might be different in summer. For the price compared with other hotels, I'd definitely come back. I nearly left an average review to keep this find secret, but that wouldn't be fair to the lovely staff at El Paseo.

Julia was welcoming and attentive, and the communication with the hotel was great from the start. It's on a calm street, close to both Dunas beach and the Maspalomas commercial area, and I had no trouble parking nearby. Our spacious suite had two balconies, one with a sea view that was perfect for breakfast or dinner. The apartment was in decent shape, though not brand new, and had enough equipment for cooking. I'm not a light sleeper, but a few nights I heard noise in the bedroom from people returning from the beachside bars along the bystreet. Closing the window stopped it, so it wasn't a big issue. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Gran Canaria.
