Hostal Casa De Huéspedes San Fernando - Adults Only

The hostal has an on-site shop for snacks and drinks, and you can catch buses nearby to the lighthouse and dunes. WiFi doesn't reach the rooms, but I could use it fine from the bench at reception. It's a great budget option in Maspalomas, about a 10-minute walk from the Yumbo centre. We picked it because it's easy to join the Camino route to Galdar from here. The rooms are simple and very clean, with comfortable beds, and the staff are lovely. Bathrooms are shared with a few other rooms, kept very clean, and have a great hot shower. A twin room for under €50 a night is incredible value.

For 29 euros a night I had a whole room to myself, which is a good deal in the south of Gran Canaria. The room was simple and not modern, but the staff were nice and the location was good. Very good for the price.

The hostel is in a fabulous spot, with a cafe across the road and a shop on the ground floor. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and I was surprised by how clean both the room and bathroom were. Really good value, and I enjoyed staying here. I'd recommend it!

We only meant to stay one night after arriving late, since this hostel was much more affordable than nearby hotels, but we were pleasantly surprised and booked another night. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the location excellent. It's in a more Spanish, less touristy part of town, with small, authentic Spanish restaurants all around. The staff seem to take reviews seriously: most rooms now have little mirrors, and they pay close attention to hygiene and the rules that help keep the place clean and welcoming. I can't say what it's like in summer, but I'd definitely recommend it in the low season.
