Hotel LIVVO Dunagolf Suites

We had a wonderful stay and I’d definitely return. The bungalows were attractive and nicely spaced, with plenty of room, modern fittings, very good air conditioning, and everything was super clean. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but they did the job. Everyone we met on staff was genuinely pleasant and helpful. The property is beautiful and quiet, with a relaxing feel, a lovely pool area, and green space around the bungalows. Food was decent, though nothing special, about 7/10. I’d only include breakfast and would go into town for lunch and dinner to try local places. Renting a car is a good idea because the resort is fairly isolated from town. We found a great deal on Priceline, and parking was free with plenty of spaces, much better than expensive taxi rides. This isn’t a five-star luxury all-inclusive, so anyone expecting that could be disappointed, but there’s plenty to enjoy without all the extras. I’d recommend it 10/10 and stay again. Thanks to the staff for making our trip so good.

The complex is lovely and well maintained, with a large pool that wasn’t too crowded. There’s a fitness room, plus things like billiards and table tennis. The breakfast and dinner buffets are good value, and parking is free, fairly secure, and plentiful. You do need a car, though. The area outside feels abandoned, with no lights at night, bushes, and a very narrow pavement. Our bungalow, number 52, had a strong sewage smell whenever we opened its closed door. It didn’t seem to come from the bathroom, but possibly from the ventilation or outside. It completely ruined the experience for us, and I wouldn’t stay there again. The administrator was very friendly when I complained, but said they were fully booked and couldn’t move us. They offered to send someone to check the smell, but I don’t think it can be fixed. It’s likely a known issue. Too bad, I don’t plan to return.

The complex itself is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, and pleasant to walk around, and the food was very good with plenty of variety. Sadly, service and cleanliness had a big impact on our stay. Perfume belonging to both me and my friend was stolen from our room. When we reported it at reception, nobody offered help or support. Staff seemed indifferent, and the housekeeper was dismissive and unprofessional. After that, we were afraid to leave our belongings in the room, which made the rest of the stay uncomfortable. The cleaning was poor as well. Although the room looked acceptable at first glance, there was a lot of dust and housekeeping didn’t clean properly during our visit. The hotel has potential, but these problems seriously affected our experience.

I was happy with the suite’s size and the lovely marina view, and there wasn’t anything seriously wrong with the place. A few minor things could be better. I struggled to sleep because it was noisy outside early in the morning. Breakfast wasn’t really to my taste either. I arrived at 10:30, so perhaps I got what had been sitting out, but honestly I expected it to be a bit fresher.
