Hotel LIVVO Los Calderones - Adults Recommended

The location is the one drawback, though they do offer a shuttle to the playa and taxis can take you anywhere. Still, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Everything was clean, tidy and cosy, and breakfast was amazing, with lots of good-quality choices. Juan welcomed us with a lovely smile, and everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. We really felt spoiled. Thanks for a great holiday.

It was easy to get to Maspalomas and Playa Del Ingles, though the hotel itself felt quiet and secluded. Our duplex apartment had a balcony and garden area, and was lovely and clean. The pool area was great, and there was a good choice of food, so we could always find something to eat. Breakfast was nice, and the bar also did food to order for lunch. The staff deserve a special mention for being friendly, helpful and efficient. Crisa, Johan, Marjory and Samuel were all a credit to the hotel. A lovely place for a relaxing holiday, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The buffet was good quality, though the food wasn't always hot. Rooms are duplex style and roomy enough for two. The pool area was good, and the staff were all very friendly. A relaxing hotel.

The small downside is that the room safe costs €2 a day. Apart from that, I really enjoyed the stay and will definitely return. The Wi-Fi worked faultlessly. There's a taxi rank half a minute from the door, Yumbo Centre is €6-7 by taxi, and bus 32 stops across the street for Porta Mogan at €4.15. We walked back from the lighthouse and dunes. I came from London with two best friends for my big birthday, having first fallen for Gran Canaria's low-key vibe on a January 2025 trip to Las Palomas. I've travelled a fair bit over the past 20 years, and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Staff were so friendly and greeted us in the morning. The bubbly at check-in was a nice touch. The layout was very clean, with lovely tropical foliage, a large pool and lots of loungers. I loved the balcony area with its lap pool, proper gym, Jacuzzi and more loungers. Breakfast had loads to choose from, dinner was good, and there was a proper lunch cafe canteen by the pool. It's a quiet spot, especially for solo travellers.
