Las Brisas

The bungalows are lovely and peaceful, but the water pressure is very low. The listing says there’s WiFi, though there isn’t any. The pool also stays so cold that hardly anyone uses it.

It’s in a handy spot, close to everything, and the pool is nice. The outdoor areas are kept in good shape and are quiet. Inside, the apartments are very basic and the beds aren’t great. There are lots of cats roaming around, though at least I didn’t see any rats 😁 or cockroaches. I asked for a late checkout and got a blunt no.

We stayed as a group of four in the third week of November 2021. The cleaning staff were lovely, and reception were helpful, but I wouldn’t stay here again. We woke up each day to cockroaches on the ground floor. They’d end up on their backs and die, and we couldn’t work out where they were coming from. Past reviews mention lots of roaches too, so it seems common to find them inside the accommodation. I expect them outdoors, but this is unacceptable. The pool isn’t heated. It looks nice, but in the cooler months it’s like an ice bath. The apartments seemed a bit run down, and all four of us had single beds with mattresses that badly needed replacing. You could feel the metal through them. I turned mine over on the third night and it was a little better. Some of the sockets didn’t work either. It feels like the place is run on the cheap. I’d book somewhere else.

It’s a quiet, tidy place, and the bungalow was kept clean every day. The little pool was clean too. The beach is very close, and there’s a bus stop just around the corner. The one thing I personally missed was an oven.
