The pool was a highlight. We used it every day, and the water was heated to about 75 degrees. There was also a shaded outdoor dining area that worked perfectly for meals. The home is an easy walk from the beach and other attractions in Maspalomas. We had a wonderful stay and would come back when we return to Gran Canaria.

There are lots of places to grab food or a drink, and sunbeds and parasols cost €4 each. A multi-storey car park is about a 4-minute walk from the reservation site beside the dunes. I loved visiting Maspalomas beach for its stunning dunes. The walk from the lighthouse towards them is beautiful, though further along there’s an area that’s a nudist beach.

You get a rare mix here, from desert and dunes to an oasis and pristine beach. It’s a popular spot in Gran Canaria and works well for families, while still offering beautiful nature. The beach is also topless-friendly.

The welcoming, LGBTQ+ friendly atmosphere includes designated naturist sections. There’s plenty to do, from surfing, windsurfing and snorkeling to volleyball or a walk at sunset. Sun loungers, umbrellas and beach bars are available, and the beach’s calm water and soft sand make it nice for swimming or sunbathing. The dunes are a striking little desert by the sea, good for walks and photos. At the western end, Faro de Maspalomas has stood since 1890 and is a popular meeting point. With clear water and sunny weather year-round, Maspalomas Beach Point is a lively tourist destination on Gran Canaria’s southern coast, with both natural scenery and attractions.
