Monte Rojo

The homemade cake for dessert was even better than we expected, and the fish was the best I’ve had on this island so far. It was all awesome, with flawless quality at very affordable prices (€). The cozy restaurant has really friendly staff who recommended some local specialities. A hidden gem, and I’d definitely come back. Thank you!

We had three excellent meals, and the waiter was very helpful, taking the time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Food was good, service was fantastic and prices were reasonable. It’s right by the pool, and you can eat inside or outside for lunch or dinner.

The service here is great, though the food wasn’t very tasty. If you’ve just arrived in San Agustin/Monte Rojo and need something quick, you can fill up for the night and enjoy the company of a great server. I’d say give it a try once. My fish with white wine sauce and boiled potatoes scored 2/5 for taste and 2/5 for appearance, while the price got 3.5/5. For the restaurant, I gave service 4.5/5, appearance 3.5/5, view 2/5, peace and quiet at dinner 3.5/5, and English level 4.5/5. I was looking for good service nearby in San Agustin, and this is that kind of restaurant. For food, 5 means great taste, nice appearance or low price, and 1 means bad taste, bad appearance or a high price. For the restaurant, 5 means great service, a nice appearance, a great view, a quiet atmosphere or fluent English. A 1 means the opposite, poor service, bad appearance, nothing to see, loud or poor English.
