New Miami Playa Apartaments

A lovely place to stay, with nice apartments.

The beach is about a five-minute walk away, and the pool is a good size, with loungers and umbrellas. Parking was the main hassle. Our apartment was clean and renovated, with a generous, varied set of kitchen supplies: two frying pans, a pot, toaster, coffee maker, plates, glasses, cups, bottle opener, can opener, spatula and skimmer. They also provided complimentary shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, plus a dishcloth, scrubber and Fairy in the kitchen.

The resort is really nice, and otherwise our stay was fine. The problem was Víctor, who handled our booking. He kept calling because we were a large family and he didn’t like the noise and family activities. We only asked that someone at reception deal with situations like that. There wasn’t a lifeguard or anything similar, either.

The host, Victor, made this a terrible experience. He called repeatedly to complain about noise from a neighbour who isn’t even part of the complex. We paid two thousand and something euros, then heard from him every other day over trivial things. If the property isn’t suitable for a large family, it shouldn’t be rented to one. We kept the noise down and stopped it after 8 pm, although we could have continued until 10. His manner was arrogant and the service was awful. Everything else was great.
