Paso Chico Gran Canaria

Across from the Yumbo and really well maintained, this was a perfect spot to relax and leave the stress and clothes behind. I had an amazing week here and will definitely be back.

The Yumbo is right outside, but it was surprisingly quiet. On weekends there was a little background noise, though nowhere near what you'd expect. The complex is peaceful during the day, newly renovated to a high standard, and with just 6 bungalows and a maximum of 12 guests it never felt crowded. Everyone was friendly, of different ages but generally between 30-50, and there was a no-judgment atmosphere where people could be themselves. There were exactly enough sunbeds for everyone. We had a small problem on arrival: the electricity to the entry keypads had gone out and we were locked outside. One WhatsApp call later, someone came down and fixed it within 15 mins. The rooms have everything for a self-catering stay: a full-size fridge and freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and all the pots, pans, and dinnerware you'd need. The new sofas and beds are comfy, and the renovated grounds make the pool a great place to relax in sunshine all day. Claudia, the cleaning lady, was a treat. She always greeted us with a smile, spoke excellent English, and was lovely to chat with each day. Since my husband isn't a morning person, she was happy to leave us what we needed instead of disturbing us, which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come again.

From February 9th to 19th, 2026, we had a fantastic holiday at Gay Resort Paso Chico. With just six bungalows, the complex felt peaceful and private from the start. It was stylishly decorated and carefully equipped, and our bungalow had everything we could have wanted. The mood was relaxed and informal, with a real sense of freedom. We could just be ourselves and enjoy our time without a care. Klaudia deserves a special thank you for her warm, personal service. She was always ready for a friendly chat and had a radiant smile every day. The daily cleaning, towel changes, bed-making, and regular linen changes were all exceptional. We look back on the stay with a big smile and would love to return. A lovely small-scale, welcoming place for anyone wanting to unwind.

We were very disappointed by our stay at the Pasochico in Maspalomas. The place fell well short of what we expected. The exterior looks attractive and gives a great first impression, and the website photos are appealing, but inside it felt outdated and nowhere near the standard we expected for the price. The bathroom grout was disgusting, and dust had settled deeply in various places. We stayed five days and didn't see the cleaning lady at all until the last day, at 10:00 AM. She came to remind us checkout was approaching and stood outside the door, making it clear she wanted us to leave then. The only cleaning we got was four bath towels and a toilet roll left on an outside chair. The shampoo and shower gel bottles were empty, so we had to buy more. It was also far from peaceful. The noise was comparable to staying at the Yumbo, and light came through in several places, especially the front door, so you couldn't fully block it out. That also made it hard to have privacy, since people could see inside. After just one day, our entry code stopped working and we had to find out there was an outside key to use. Luckily another guest opened the door for us. With the poor facilities and mediocre reality for the price, we wouldn't recommend this accommodation.
