Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity

The setting high in the hills gives you a good view, though the sea is a long way off and the bus back and forth runs only about every two hours. We stayed five days in early April and had a great time. We skipped the golf, but used the gym and pool, and booked a suite with an extra room for workspace, which was handy. Food, staff, and service were all fantastic. I’d happily return and recommend it.

We’ve now been back six times, and Salobre Hotel & Golf Resort still feels like a home away from home. The pools, spa, practice areas, and clubhouse are all kept to a high standard. Both golf courses were in great shape and fun to play, with lovely surroundings. After a day on the course, our room was a comfortable, spotless place to unwind. Meals across the resort were consistently excellent, with plenty of choice. The team are warm, attentive, and clearly care about making guests’ stays special. Yani and Autor made this visit especially memorable with their hospitality. We’ll definitely come back.

The customer service didn’t quite live up to the five-star surroundings, though I’d still return for the calm of this place. Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity has a dreamy spa, several pools, lovely dining, and great cocktails. Breakfast was delicious, with an almost endless range of options. I especially recommend the pastrami sandwich by the pool. My triple deluxe room was comfortable and spacious, with beautiful views. There’s a lot to love here.

The best part of our visit was the help from Miss Melinda at reception, who gave us excellent dining advice, and Miss Silvia in the buffet restaurant, whose service and wine suggestions were wonderful. As for the resort, it’s clean and well looked after, though a little old and worn. The golf facilities include 18+9 holes, but could use more atmosphere, cafes, or places to get water before and after a round. Dining at the hotel felt limited: the main buffet rotates Spanish, world food, BBQ, and Italian evenings, but the meals felt much the same. Maspalomas has several high-class restaurants, and the 25 euro taxi ride is worth it.
