The pool is cool, and there’s a big play area for kids. Each place has its own fence, so you get a lot of privacy and don’t have to interact with neighbours unless you want to.

This is the sort of complex that went up in Maspalomas, southern Gran Canaria, in the late 60s or early 70s. To me, it sums up everything wrong with the zoning rules and micro-ownership model in tourist areas, which have never been revised. The only answer, in my opinion, is to demolish it and rebuild, this time with someone who uses their head for more than holding a hat.
