Surycan Summer Style

The private backyard was a real plus, with a surprisingly secluded feel from the hibiscus and schefflera fencing. I also enjoyed the terrace. The apartment was beautiful, tidy and exceptionally comfortable, and the complex’s park was beautifully maintained, with a phenomenal pool. I picked it for the easy highway access and location for exploring the island. I’d gladly return. 😊

Two fully stocked SPAR stores are only a two-minute walk away, and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops near the complex. At the apartment, I especially liked the spacious terrace and private garden, a peaceful spot sheltered from the wind that others rarely used. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was a TV with international channels, a comfortable sofa and a spacious bedroom with a large bed. I had a wonderful stay at the "Lovely Surycan apartment" and look forward to coming back.

Surycan Apartments have kept their charm and are a good example of late 80s architecture. The gardens are beautiful, with mature plants and trees that are well cared for, and the swimming pool is one of the largest in the area. Taxi and bus stations are right in front of the building. It’s a 3-4 minute taxi ride to Yumbo, and only a few minutes to the beach from the Meloneras side. Holiday World and Parque Sur are nearby too. The neighbors are pleasant, and the neighborhood has a lovely feel. There are some nice hotels across the street, and residential villas around the area give it an upper-class feel. The spacious, well-stocked Spar has much better prices than the central tourist areas. Parking is available, though you may need to walk a minute or two. Access to the GC-1 is quick and easy. Lovely apartments in a delightful area.

The couple I rented from were lovely and extremely helpful. It’s a great place, near some good bars and just a short walk down the hill to Holiday World. The pool is closed for Covid, but it’s huge and over 2m deep in places.
