The villa is in the middle of nowhere, and the nearest shop is up a huge hill. I think you’d have a better stay with a rental car. The house itself is lovely, but it has some easily fixed flaws: the air conditioning is poor in two rooms and the kitchen is equipped but tiny. The pool left all of us with sores. The kids had to stop using it after the second day of our two-week stay because they were getting burns and rashes. We adults, who didn’t spend five hours a day in the water, lasted longer, but after the third day we limited our dips to 10-15 minutes.

The host was amazing and even took me to the shops so I could pick up a few things. We’re here with the family for a holiday, and this beautiful villa feels out of this world. We’re looking forward to some peace and sunshine and having the best time. Thank you so much, I think I’ll book again.

Getting around without a car was hard. Taxis were difficult to find, we didn’t see a single bus all week, and you should be ready to walk a lot. I’d recommend having a car here. The house was okay, though some basics could be better: one room had a 140 cm bed shoved into a corner, with no bedside lamp, chair or hooks for clothes or towels. There weren’t hooks in the bathroom either. We were eight adults and got only three small towels to share, plus three bath towels per room. The pool wasn’t heated, though the pool at the attached semi-detached house was. Six adults and two children sharing the 140 cm bed might have worked better.
