Villa RG

The best thing about the Galdar 4 room is its shaded balcony in the morning and lovely sunset views later in the day. We had some rain, though, and water didn’t drain well, so we asked for a mop and bucket. The room was cleaned immaculately six out of seven days, with the bed made and towels changed. It’s also very close to everything Playa del Ingles has to offer. Ours was the smaller of the two upstairs rooms. It’s compact but laid out nicely, with a private balcony/terrace. The little kitchen has a coffee machine, microwave and fridge, but no freezer compartment or hob, so making meals there isn’t really practical. You can request a toaster and kettle. The WiFi was weak in this room, and I had to log in again and again. Still, I have no reason not to recommend the place.

The location is really handy, less than a minute from a supermarket and about a five-minute walk to the Yumbo center. There are just eight rooms in this little villa, with a small pool and only a few sun beds. We were the only ones using them all week, which was great. The owner was away, and his friend looked after us throughout our stay. Our room was cleverly arranged, with a small kitchen area that had only a microwave and kettle, enough for salad lunches and breakfast for the week. The bathroom was great and the shower amazing. You have to pay for the coffee pods, so it might be nicer to add a couple of € per day to the room price and include them. We’ll definitely be back.

The owner was amazing and did everything possible for us, making the stay memorable. The outside area was private and tidy, and the small pool was enough for the number of rooms and guests. Inside, the rooms were lovely and well equipped, with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom and kitchen. Great location, close to all amenities.

The Villa RG Hotel was a calm, private place to come back to after a day out. The bed was comfortable and inviting, and cleanliness stood out throughout the well-kept facilities. Breakfast was included, which meant I could start the morning without needing to go to the supermarket next door. The owners were attentive and clearly cared about the villa, helping create an intimate, almost personal retreat. It felt like a real break from the busy tourist areas and crowded hotels. The location is handy too, halfway between Playa Del Ingles beach and the Yumbo Centre. It was easy to get to the beach, then head to the Yumbo Centre in the evening for its restaurants, shops, bars and drag shows. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway with nearby attractions within easy reach.
