The toilets and showers really need cleaning twice a day. There was so much hair, dirty foam, and toilet paper on the floor and around the facilities that I didn't want to go into the shower. Guests are partly to blame for the mess, but it was still unacceptable. We paid 28€ for two people and a van, which felt steep after we'd had a much roomier spot by a beach in the south for half the price. The campsite itself has a nice look, with shared spaces inside and out, table tennis, friendly staff, and a lovely sunset from the lounging area. We liked the birds and didn't mind the very loud peacock. But the pitches are packed in tightly. Our 6m peugeot van was too big for the space: the pitch was very steep, even with wedges under the wheels, and there was too much bare dirt. We couldn't turn the van around to face the sun, maneuvering was a whole ordeal, and the road is narrow too. With some work on the site, I'd visit again with a tent or a ready-made tent. With a van, I wouldn't.

Without a car, getting here is really difficult, especially since there's no access from the upper side that would make reaching the bus easier. I had only a tarp, and my P28 tent spot was small and sloped, which made sleeping uncomfortable. People walked through and shone headlights past my pitch, and there was plenty of noise from both people and the sea, plus lots of lights. The place is cosy, with a garden-meets-steampunk design, and the staff were helpful. It's well equipped too, with a small shop, snack machines, ping pong, and a kitchen. I'd give it 3/5 as someone without a rental car and with only a tent. It could work well if you have a car and the right equipment, or if you rent a cabin or equipped tent. If you're travelling without a car and only have a tent, your experience depends a lot on which pitch you get and how full the campsite is.

Getting here in a big caravan takes some care. Don't follow the Google road, and the last mile, especially the final stretch, needs careful driving. A caravan over 6 meters isn't recommended. Having your own car is a good idea for exploring the north. The campsite is lovely and green, with lots of trees, pleasant shared areas, and friendly, helpful staff. It has a relaxed backpacker feel. Some areas are still under construction and can be dangerous, so it may not suit families with very young children, even though our kid loved seeing the birds.

We were very happy here and will definitely be back. It's a peaceful spot tucked into the landscape, with lovely views, all the amenities, and a pet-friendly setup. The kitchen has your own space in the fridge and freezer, and there's a shower room and a games room for relaxing. The staff are friendly and generous with guidance, and even gave us a tour of the site. It was cheap as chips for a place to stay while exploring much of the north by car. *****

My friend and I spent a night in a large tent, and the price was really good. The place is beautiful and close to the sea. The kitchen was nice and had fridge space, everything was clean and in order, and the staff were friendly. The other guests were easy to be around too. Ducks and cats were wandering all over.
