For a stopover, this worked really well. It’s close to the main square and shops, with metro and bus links nearby, and the airport isn’t far. The town itself is small, so I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday with lots to see. Since it’s a two-star hostal, don’t expect luxury, but the staff are friendly, service is good, meals are fairly priced, and things run on time. There’s a lively feel to the place, too.

I’d happily recommend staying here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the price was very reasonable. After finishing the El Camino de Santiago, I stayed here before heading home to the United States. I don’t speak much Spanish, but the reception staff were glad to help me arrange taxis and suggest things nearby. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The service has been really hospitable, and I’m enjoying my stay so far. My room was clean and nice. You enter through the restaurant, which felt a little unusual but wasn’t a problem. Smoking is allowed, so if you’re bothered by it, it can be hard to avoid the smell in the hallways.

I’m writing this while sitting in the bar and coffee area. The bartender was awful and seemed unwilling to do his job. We asked for a menu and he never brought one. I also asked for a croissant without nuts, but he gave me one containing nuts, so I didn’t eat it and won’t pay for it. European law requires allergen information for food that isn’t prepacked, so follow the law next time. They also speak no English.

The room was basic, clean, and had everything I needed. I even got WiFi in there, which I hadn’t expected. Downstairs there’s a bar where I watched palmeiras win copa libertadores. The jamon and beer were good, and the prices were very reasonable. It’s also handy for the airport, about 15 minutes away and 12 euro by Uber. I really liked this place and would come back when I’m in madrid again.
