Albohera Playa hotel by Belvilla Resorts

The location worked really well, close to both the beach and restaurants. My room was comfortable and spotless, with air conditioning and a fridge. The service was excellent.

Friendly staff and a good location for the price. I did have a couple of complaints: the towels weren't proper bath towels, and the pillows weren't good.

We arrived to find that our key wouldn't work. Reception had an emergency key, but that failed too, and since reception shuts at 11 pm, we ended up having to sleep in another couple's room. The owner turned up at 6 am and said it wasn't his responsibility because the management was about to change. I was angry, exhausted, and couldn't sleep. Does this really happen nowadays? Pathetic.

I left feeling bad and dissatisfied all round, and wouldn't spend a penny here. The place is ancient, dirty, rusty, and falling apart, like an abandoned ship. They offer practically no services or inclusions, yet charge as if the room were luxury accommodation. The old man at reception was incredibly rude and unpleasant, and the way he treats guests is awful. This place doesn't deserve even half a star. It's not somewhere I'd recommend at all. They should either close it or make major improvements to the whole approach and the property. The beds at Albohera hotel are, as far as I know, infested with bed bugs. If you come into contact with a place where they live, the bugs can travel home on your belongings without you noticing, and then infest mattresses, sofas, and other furniture. This place is a breeding ground for them. Choose somewhere else if you can. You absolutely shouldn't stay here.
