Hotel Trabuco

It used to be a cheerful, inexpensive hotel with a lively bar and restaurant and a great atmosphere. These days it feels like rooms above an empty bar. I hope it goes back to how it was run before.

Parking on the side streets was easy, and we enjoyed our weekend break here. The staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. There’s a nice pool with seats around it, and while the room was a bit small, the bathroom was very good and the bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a good, typical buffet. There isn’t a lounge where you can sit and chat, but we were happy with the hotel.

The rooms were foul-smelling and looked disgusting. My friends and I were about to throw up, so we left after 30 minutes. They wanted 80€ for not showing up, so we called booning.com and told them.

We stop here regularly, and the staff are always polite and helpful. The tapas are authentic Spanish, and there’s more on offer too. Prices are unbelievably reasonable, which is probably why so many locals come in. The bar looks a bit like a canteen, but don’t let that put you off. The menu of the day is good value as well. You’ll need some Spanish, or Google Translate!
