Hotel Villa San Juan

I had a really nice stay, especially thanks to the staff and the balcony. I joined the club, which I think may be why I got a premium room. Breakfast was included and very nice too.

A clean, very good three-star hotel. The renovated rooms have a fridge, and there’s a vending machine with snacks and drinks by reception. Breakfast included fresh orange juice and avocado. 😀 The staff were friendly and attentive. They even brought a kettle and teacups to our room. We parked on the street nearby.

The location was handy, with lots of small cafés down the road, and the staff were very friendly and tried to help. They can only do so much, though. The hotel is very old, and you can hear neighbors fighting, snoring, or having s*x. During our stay there was construction just above us, but nobody came to offer a solution. Then over the weekend guests were fighting and slamming doors at 6.10 am!!!! Breakfast was below basic. The scrambled eggs came out cold, so eating there felt like a waste of money. The good thing is that they accept animals, while the whole town seems fake about being pet friendly. You can’t take pets into restaurants. Water pressure and temperature were another issue. In the first room, there was no cold water at all. In the second, hot water only came after 20 minutes of running it. There’s a small underground garage, but getting in and out is very tricky.

The staff were lovely throughout our stay, and housekeeping did a very good job. We enjoyed the full, varied breakfast too. The downsides were the weak wifi and possibly poor sound insulation between the rooms. Thank you!
