Casa Tenerife

A really nice place if you want some peace away from the city and its busy pace. I liked the atmosphere, and it has what you need for a vacation.

I stopped in for coffee and enjoyed the garden, the great view, and the spacious seating area. The homemade chocolate tart let me down, though. The menu called it a cake, but it was a tart, and it didn't seem or taste homemade. The base felt like something from a supermarket, with what seemed to be filling poured into it. The surroundings were nice, so I still gave it four stars despite the dessert.

This is a peaceful little paradise. Most of the time, all you hear is birds and waves in the distance. Our high-roofed cabin stayed comfortably cool all day without air conditioning, and the temperature was pleasantly steady at night. It's a great base for walks down to the ocean or through the countryside and nearby farmland. People in the little village shops and pubs were notably friendly, especially when we tried a few words of Spanish. We stayed in La Palma, which is one of the self-service cabins. Homemade meals are available to buy or order, and the staff were helpful about our food intolerances. When we were short on one, they even lent us a coffee pot for free once or twice. If you need everything in the bathroom and kitchen to be spotless and brand new, this might not suit you. That mattered very little to us. Everything worked, and the incredible location was worth far more than a scratch-free bathtub.

I arrived a few days ago and already feel at home. My own house has a terrace, with the pool just above it, and the views are mind-blowing. This Finca is incredibly mesmerizing. I'm happy to be here, with space to focus on work and personal development. The owners are German, great cooks, and very flexible. The kitchen is great too.
