The staff were helpful, the location was great, and the price was reasonable. The rooms are mostly good compared with places in a similar price range around Spain, though a few small fixes here and there would help. The bathrooms need toilet brushes, and the doors could use better soundproofing. There was renovation work next door, and the noise could be annoying.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating while we travelled with our dogs. They charged a small extra cleaning fee of 15 euros because of pet dander allergies. The location is great, close to the center of Escorial and right beside the monestary.

Street parking close to the hotel was available in March, though it may be harder to find in peak season. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. I’d visit again.

For a modest price, you get excellent service and stunning views of the royal monastery.

A really good hotel in a great position. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean, and the shower had good water pressure.
