The kids had room to enjoy themselves in the green areas by the river, with no cars around. We came back with a big group for an under-12 baseball tournament, and the clean, comfortable facilities worked really well. Staff were attentive and flexible, and the woman serving breakfast was especially kind. They also had gluten-free and lactose-free options. We’ll be back!

The spacious rooms and reasonable price made this a good fit for families. I also appreciated having gluten-free and lactose-free breakfast choices for my daughter and me. Sara, who works at breakfast, was so friendly and helpful, keeping the juice and milk topped up as they ran low. We enjoyed our few days here, and still have places we want to visit, so we’ll definitely return.

El Floran Hostel is a handy, affordable base for exploring Asturias. Many of the region’s sights are under 45 minutes away, including the Bear's Trail (Senda del Oso), the Sella River descent, Cudillero, and Oviedo. Staying in the heart of the Asturian Mining Basin also puts places like the Sotón Mine within reach. It’s simple, clean, and good value for the price. Breakfast could have had more protein, though guests can bring their own food to add to it.
