The owners were very pleasant and attentive, and the place was well equipped and really clean. We had an incredible weekend with good company, enjoying the facilities, and the rooms were very comfortable.

Las Cabachuelas II is a lovely place, but it doesn’t work well for eight people: there are just three double beds and the sofa bed is horribly uncomfortable. We spent three nights there. The first day we were on our own, but after that we had to share a small inner courtyard with the people staying in the other house, during COVID-19. Who was wearing a mask? The local people were lovely, but the kitchen was full of ants. There was no hot water on the first day, and the owners seemed totally indifferent. Their website said, “exclusive accommodation limited to a single house for health reasons.” When we raised this, the owner said that only applied to stays of more than a week. Why didn’t the website make that clear?

The fireplace was spectacular, and the facilities made this a great base for exploring the area. The owners were very kind and happily answered all our questions.

I went with eight friends to stay a few days in the largest house. We had a great time, the service was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back!
