A Room In The City

I only stayed one night, but the receptionist was so kind and let me leave my luggage and use the facilities even though check-in wasn’t until 3 pm. The beds were clean, and everything is walkable, including the cathedral and coffee shops. It’s super close to everything. I’d definitely recommend it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

For cleanliness, this is easily the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are modern and spotless, the bunks have lots of space and are easy to get into, and the bracelet-operated lockers and door felt very secure. The atmosphere was pretty antisocial. I didn’t see any events being organised, though I could be wrong. The bar out front was lively, but seemed to draw mostly people from outside the hostel. A few things didn’t work for me: there’s no laundry service, which isn’t great for a multi-day stay; the kitchen is tiny and basic; the showers are dated and unpleasant; and the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable I left with a sore neck.

For a cheap, functional stay with a nice vibe, this little backpacker hostel does the job. The rooms are secure, the staff are friendly and informative, and everything was really clean. I liked the shared areas too, including the kitchen, outdoor bar and rooftop. It’s what you pay for, so don’t expect luxury.

The location is banging, just a few moments from the beach and old town, and it’s great value for a well thought-through hostel. I usually stay somewhere more luxurious, but appreciated little extras like a fan, earplugs, water and the offer to change the linens. We had a private room for two with a shared bathroom in a separate part of the property, presumably away from the big group rooms. There were plenty of toilets and showers, and over four nights I only saw one other person in the bathroom area.
