Colectia is the correct name as of 2025, though you may see a different one on booking or review sites because it has changed a few times over the years. It’s a cute little hotel by the river, with Jazz motifs in the rooms. Very clean and comfortable, though there’s no restaurant or frills. It’s an easy walk from the bus terminal and central station. To get downtown, I’d take the frequent city bus across the bridge. The river view is lovely too. If you arrive early in the morning or late at night, arrange how you’ll get your key in advance. The front desk isn’t open 24 hours, so tell them your arrival time. They can leave a passcode and room key in a key box, letting you enter the building and collect the key without anyone at reception. Follow that process and there shouldn’t be any problems.

The main downside was how much sound came through the walls. The room was small and could use some cosmetic renovation, though it had toiletries, a kettle, cups, and a mini fridge. We didn’t try breakfast, since we found plenty of nice cafés in this lovely little city. For a couple of days in town, I think it’s a decent option. Check-in and checkout are contactless, pets are allowed, and parking is available if you book it ahead. The location is great, about a pleasant 20-minute walk to the old town.

Breakfast was fresh and had something for everyone. The hotel’s in a scenic spot by the river, an easy walk from the old town. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and felt a good size to me compared with many places in Europe, even though I’ve seen reviews calling them small. Great little hotel, I do recommend it.

The rooms are a little on the small side, but they were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was more than adequate. It’s a lovely little hotel, well placed for the main areas and old town. I’d recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

I was left outside for around 30 minutes, unable to get in or reach anyone. The door was locked, there were no staff, and neither the hotel phone nor the help button got an answer. I’d booked a specific midnight check-in time and the hotel had agreed to it. In the end I had to find another hotel nearby. Afterward they refused a refund because of their cancellation policy, even though I wasn’t cancelling. They were closed and unreachable when I arrived. I strongly advise avoiding this place.
