Casual de las Olas San Sebastian Hotel by Casual Hoteles

A handy stop for us on the drive from Portugal toward France. Our family of four slept really well, and everything was clean. I especially liked the shower: the hot water, water pressure, and insulation were all great.

I stayed two days and paid to park in the hotel’s designated garage. A thief broke my car windows. The hotel was notified about the incident but didn’t tell me, and I only found out when I went to collect the car the next day. They didn’t want to take responsibility from the start. Between the incident and the delay in telling me, I had to cancel the rest of my trip, which cost me a lot. The hotel offered no compensation or even an apology. It was my worst hotel experience. After reading their response, I’m even more convinced the hotel acted irresponsibly. This happened on 17th October, and they only apologized after my negative review. Their reply isn’t accurate: the parking garage told the hotel on the evening of the 17th, but the hotel didn’t tell me. I found out myself the next day while picking up the car. There was nothing visible inside, just some clothes in the trunk. If we hadn’t parked in the hotel’s designated space on the -2 level, and had instead used a general space on -1 level near the garage’s surveillance office, this might not have happened. I can accept that an incident like this may occur, but not the way the hotel handled it. I can’t imagine who would want to stay there.

Absolutely loved it! The room was spacious and comfortable, everything looked very modern, and it was so quiet I didn’t hear a thing. The staff were great, and the price was good.

The location and relaxed vibe were just what we liked, and the room was bright and airy. Breakfast was good too. The reception staff were great, especially Karen. Definitely recommend.
