Hotel Zaragoza Plaza

We booked through a booking app for our wedding day and night, hoping to get ready there. Big mistake. Our room was tiny and directly across from a huge construction site, so it was loud. There were no amenities, not even a full-length mirror, and we got two towels but no hand towels. It was noisy all day and all night. Very disappointing for $200 a night. Save your money.

I had a really pleasant room, with a balcony facing a quiet, attractive street. The hotel is right in the center of San Sebastian, and everything felt clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely too. When I found out on the first night that my phone charger had stopped working, the receptionist lent me one and said I could keep it until checkout. Great stay.

The location was a real plus, just a short walk from the beach where we spent most of our time, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, though quite small. We booked for one night at the last minute, and the price was much higher than usual. The main problem was the air conditioning. It never cooled the room enough, and it got so hot that sleeping was difficult. Then, at 3 a.m., an alarm left on the TV by the previous guest, I assume, went off and woke us again. I’m not blaming the hotel for that, but the bad AC turned what could have been a good stay into a bad one.

The room was modern, really clean and comfortable, with nice amenities including a mini-fridge. The location was just as good, right between the bus station, beach, Old Town, upscale shops, the cute market area, Kiosko del Boulevard bandstand, and the hike up the hill to the fort and statue of Jesus. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They gave us a map and food suggestions, helped us with the bus, and safely held our bags after checkout so we could enjoy the city.
