Hospedaje El Somante

Ángel made us feel incredibly welcome during our five days there, which went by far too quickly. The house sits in the middle of nature, and I think they rent four or five rooms. There are tables along one side where you can have breakfast or a snack at sunset, plus stunning views and plenty of room to walk around. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re after a few peaceful days away.

Babi and Ángel are such lovely innkeepers, always ready with suggestions for routes, beaches, or anything else you want to ask. The setting is amazing. A balcony room gives you views of the Cantabrian Mountains and the sea on either side. El Somante is a perfect place to stay when visiting Cantabria.

We spent four nights here, my girlfriend and I, in the smallest room, and it was plenty of space for us. The grounds are spacious, the service was impeccable, and the views and location were fantastic. I’d stay here again if I’m ever near San Vicente.

The views from the terrace over the sea and San Vicente’s landscape were incredible, whether we were having breakfast or dinner. The breakfast itself was delicious, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. The owners were wonderfully welcoming. Right in Oyambre Natural Park, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. We’ll definitely return.
