Micampus Barcelona Student Residence

The residence and the surrounding area were pretty quiet, with offices and a shopping mall nearby. Getting to Barcelona city center was easy by several kinds of public transport and took less than 15 minutes. There were a few minor power supply issues during my stay, but nothing serious. I was very satisfied during the last semester. Although it’s a student residence, the service is almost like an expensive hotel. Everything is modern, and the cleaning, maintenance, and security staff were very friendly, especially in the cafeteria. There are lots of useful facilities too, including study rooms, a pool, a gym, and laundry rooms. I can absolutely recommend it.

They confirmed that my deposit refund had been approved, but they still haven’t returned the money. It’s past the promised deadline, and they keep delaying payment without giving a clear explanation. This feels extremely unprofessional, and it seems like they’re deliberately holding onto tenants’ money. Be very careful with your deposit if you’re considering a stay here. Avoid the place if you don’t want trouble getting your money back. Terrible experience.

The rooftop pool was fantastic, with a view of the sea, and I loved the terraces on the 5th floors. You could doze on the bean bags on a breezy, moonlit night ❤️ There are plenty of study and meeting rooms too, with good ventilation and air conditioning, plus a theatre room. I’m not sure about the gyms since I don’t work out. The beds were super comfy, the shower had hot water, and the restrooms were neat and clean. The place has everything you need for a wonderful, comfortable stay in Barcelona. A couple of downsides: not all the staff speak English, and sometimes the receptionist ignores you because she or they are busy. The cafeteria food wasn’t the best, but there’s a supermarket around the corner where you can get meals. Tip: befriend the uncle who smiles and says hola whenever you pass him. He’ll show you a secret lift that’s faster than the main ones ;)

I moved out over ten months ago after living in this residence for about a year, and I’m still waiting for my security deposit refund. I’ve contacted them several times by email, phone, and message, but haven’t received a clear update about when the money will be returned. Replies were slow at first, and lately I haven’t had any response at all. I hope communication improves and the refund is completed soon. I’d appreciate a prompt resolution.
