Hostal Residencia Adelino

Clean, affordable rooms in a central spot near the beach, nightlife, food and more. The service was welcoming and accommodating. For a one-star room, it felt like a four-star experience. Great people.

It’s convenient for getting around, with bars and the bus station within walking distance. There’s an ATM and supermarket across the road, which came in handy. Inside, the facilities were functional and clean, and the lift and air conditioning worked. I was happy with my single room, and the building has nice architecture. They also have a luggage room and a shared bathroom and toilet, useful for taking a shower after checkout before a flight. They printed my boarding pass for free too. The main downside is the soundproofing. You can hear people and doors banging in the corridors, though most guests were quiet, so it didn’t really bother me. I’d recommend this hostel for convenience and comfort at a reasonable price. I paid €67 a night in summer.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean with housekeeping every day. I also liked having a mini fridge in the room. The strange part was that the electricity in our room went off in the middle of the night, so the lights, air conditioning and everything else stopped working. It came back the next morning, with no warning that it would happen.

The bus station is about a five-minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket right across from the hostal. It’s listed as closing at 8:30 pm, though it often stayed open later, which came in handy. Our room was neat, with enough space and decent light. I really liked the bed too, firm but very comfortable.
