Universal Aparthotel Don Camilo

The staff were friendly and helpful, and most apartments have a great view. They're fairly modern and well equipped, though there's no oven of any kind, just a hot plate and microwave. For the quality of the place and how beautiful St.Elm is, it was outstanding value.

The apartments are spacious and have nice terraces, and the surroundings were clean. The pool was great, the views amazing, and the staff friendly. Its location also makes the B&B option work well, with local restaurants very close by. One thing to know: because the buildings are on a hillside, there are no lifts to the top rooms. That could be difficult for people with limited mobility unless they stay on the ground or first floor.

We found the apartment clean enough, though it wasn't completely child-proof. We could improvise easily. The location is perfect, just a 1-2 minute walk from the beach or shops. The buffet was okay, but not especially interesting, and didn't offer much of a welcome to vegetarians. Staff were always nice and could speak German as well as English. There are two unheated pools, one for the apartments and one at the main hotel. The area is good for hiking too, though the trails can be quite challenging. If you're bringing a baby, keep in mind taxi drivers aren't obligated to have a child seat. Take one with you if possible.
