We had a lovely breakfast, though the service was often slow. The hotel and its location were gorgeous, and the rooms were stunning. We stayed at The Giri Residence for four days in mid-July, three friends on a relaxing holiday for my 40th birthday. The hotel felt worth the price, but the service didn't match it. Staff were polite and nice, but not very attentive. I'd told them before arrival that three of us would share the suite, yet the room was set up for only two. More than once we had to ask for extra glasses, towels and a dressing gown. At check-in, nobody explained the hotel, spa, facilities or treatments, said where breakfast was served, or showed us around. I'd also asked before the trip for suggestions for fun activities to book for my birthday. They said they'd discuss it when we arrived, but it never came up again. They acknowledged the birthday at check-in but did nothing to mark it. On our way out, we ran into the owner, who thought we were arriving. He warmly introduced himself and offered us each a free glass of wine. That friendly, chatty welcome was what we had hoped for at the start and during our stay. I'd happily return if the staff were more attentive and the customer service improved.

A lovely garden and pool, tasty healthy breakfasts, and friendly service. I wanted somewhere peaceful with a nice atmosphere, and that's exactly what I found. Perfect for slowing down and relaxing. Thanks for a great time!

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the beds were really comfortable, though the pillows could be better. There’s loads of character here, and the rooms are stunning in this picturesque hotel. I'd highly recommend it. Make sure to eat at Giri café if you stay, the food is fantastic. Thanks for making our visit so lovely!

We found a hidden oasis in The Giri Residence, with a peaceful garden and pool that made it easy to unwind. Privacy carries through the property, and it seems ideal for couples after a quiet escape. Design, a mysterious feel and attentive service all came together to make the stay feel special. It is known from magazines and books as a design icon, but it didn't feel pretentious. There was an understated elegance that made us feel pampered and at home. The secluded, almost secret entrance sets the mood: a huge crafted door tucked into an alley, like stepping into another world. Inside, the rooms and details show real care. The daybeds were very comfortable, and the hamam towels were luxuriously soft. Staff were warm and attentive without getting in the way, so we could relax knowing things were taken care of. Breakfast was made to order, with classics like croissants, eggs and salads using quality ingredients. Coffee from local roasters added a local touch. A truly tranquil and stylish place, where time seems to slow down and you can enjoy the surroundings.
