Grupotel Ibiza Beach Resort - Adults Only

We stayed at Grupotel Ibiza Beach Resort - Adults Only, Portinatx the week after mid-August and had a really great time. The room was comfortable, in excellent condition, and everything at the resort ran smoothly. Reception staff were welcoming and very professional. The food was outstanding, and I especially appreciated how carefully they handled gluten-free options for my girlfriend, who is celiac. My only tiny quibble is that the staff didn’t speak Italian, despite the advertising saying they did. That’s nitpicking, though. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing, well-organized stay in Ibiza.

We spent two weeks here in September 2025 and had a fabulous stay. The location is great, right by the beach and close to local supermarkets and restaurants. There was good food and a choice of restaurants and pools, plus a fitness club and sauna. Our room was nice and clean, with a great view. My wife particularly loved Maria’s aquarobics classes in the pool.

They gave us two small bottles of water on the first night. When they were empty and housekeeping didn’t replace them, we assumed it was a mistake. Reception told us the two “courtesy bottles” were all we’d get. We said drinking water is a basic need, not a courtesy, and that Ibiza tap water isn’t potable. The answer was that this was “corporate” policy. That pretty much sums up this hotel: corporate. We bought our own water at a “corporate” grocery store in Portinatx for eight times the usual price, but couldn’t even chill it. There was a little fridge, set to hot, and “corporate” had removed the temperature dial. Avoid this “corporate” hotel, “corporate” Portinatx and “corporate” Ibiza. It doesn’t feel like Spain, more like an American “corporate” tourist trap sponsored by Live Nation.

The room’s A/C could be stronger. It cools down, but the room warms up again once you’re inside. We still had a wonderful stay. It’s a lovely hotel with a great atmosphere, well-kept pools, and really good food at the pool bar and restaurant. There are lots of on-site activities, the beach is a very short walk away, and prices were reasonable. I’d highly recommend it.
