Grupotel Imperio Playa

Everything was clean and nice, and the staff were really friendly. The hotel is rather outdated, but the price is unbeatable. Its location is amazing, and the beach isn’t crowded. It’s public, so you have to pay 7€ for each umbrella and sunbed, though you can also stay by the pool and walk down to the beach. I’d suggest half board since dining out is limited and expensive.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel’s location was perfect if you just want to do nothing. The beach is exactly where you’d want it, just two steps away. I was there for five days last week. The room and bathroom need updating, and we could hear the neighbours talking. There wasn’t a tea or coffee machine in the room.

We found a peaceful escape in nature at Grupotel Imperio Playa, about 30-40 minutes from Ibiza airport. The beach is beautiful, particularly at sunrise and sunset, and the hotel has a lovely pool and a nice bar with a good range of drinks. It’s a great choice for a relaxing Ibiza holiday. The amenities are well thought out, including a gym, and breakfast was exceptional, with a broad choice for different tastes. The staff were courteous and professional.

The location is a 1A, it can’t be better. The beautiful beach at Cala Sant Vincent is 5m away. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, the sea-view rooms have balconies, and room service was reliable. The bar has a pretty good range of drinks and enough staff, more or less, who know how to mix them. But breakfast and dinner felt like a mass operation trying to look fancy, with too few staff and poor organization. The dining room was packed, sometimes with a wait of up to 15 minutes to get a seat, and as loud as a market. Staff cleaned tables constantly, moved chairs noisily and threw cutlery around while people were trying to eat. The food staff seemed so stressed and understaffed that they had no patience for normal questions. When my girlfriend asked for a coffee spoon, one guy looked annoyed and told her to stir the coffee and sugar with her finger. That’s UNACCEPTABLE even in a one-star hotel, and ridiculous in a four-star one. Service was rushed and stressed, and the whole place needs an update. The windows were very dirty, which is hard to understand with such an amazing view. Dinner buffet dishes were pretty similar every night. It included meat and cheese left over from breakfast, dry and oxidized, and the food was a bit lacking. The chefs were trying hard but understaffed. When you ordered still water, you might get sparkling. I appreciated the staff trying, but management shouldn’t save money on service in a four-star hotel.
