The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel

We look forward to coming back next year. It’s become an annual visit for us, and we enjoyed it again. The Ushuaïa Experience Team were so helpful and made the stay feel extra special. We especially like spending the afternoon by the pool, then having a drink on our terrace with views of both the pool and the airport.

The staff make you feel welcome the whole time, and they keep track of all the details, from extras and entry to discounts, invitations, and the check-in and checkout process. Special thanks to JORDINA, whose lovely energy and helpful suggestions made the stay even better. If you’re into music holidays and want a place with good energy, this is a great find, whether you’re there to party or not. You can pick different days of the week for better options and prices. Popular party days cost more, of course, but I felt the experience was worth it. Money well spent on a happy time.

The pool had no music during this visit, even though the DJ and pool vibe were a big part of why I booked again. Staff said the sound system was down. Things break, sure, but they could have rented speakers or offered guests a free drink. They did neither, which felt careless for a hotel that sells itself on its atmosphere. The minibar dispute was worse. After checkout, I was charged €180 for a whiskey we never touched. I called and emailed several times, but the hotel kept insisting the charge was valid. Their evidence was a photo of a completely full bottle with a broken seal. That made no sense to me: we didn’t use anything from the minibar, and if we had opened it, why leave behind a full €180 bottle? I’d stayed here before, booked several rooms on each visit, paid for minibar items in the past, and spent thousands of euros. I’m not trying to dodge a legitimate charge, and they know that. I explained this again and again, but they kept the charge and refused to consider that housekeeping might have opened the bottle, it could have been assigned to the wrong room, or something else had gone wrong. American Express eventually investigated and refunded me because there wasn’t enough evidence. The way the hotel handled it showed no care or accountability and completely lost my trust. I tried to resolve it privately through numerous emails, which I’ve attached. Looking at other reviews online, it seems others may have had the same minibar problem. I won’t be returning.

The food was good, the room had a nice view of the Ushuaia stage, and the staff were excellent. My wife left her favourite sunglasses at breakfast, but Maria at reception went out of her way to find them and return them to us. Good vibes all around.
