Casa Linda was the highlight for us. The setting is stunning, and the food was fresh, imaginative, full of flavour, and beautifully put together. The team there were excellent, so it’s well worth a visit. The hotel itself is spotless, with gorgeous grounds and lovely views. Our room had everything we needed, and the bed was really comfortable. There are two pool areas, though the water was freezing when we visited in late September, my one small gripe. The staff throughout were warm, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely too, with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and bread, plus cooked dishes you can order from the kitchen. There’s also a little outdoor bar by one of the pools where you can get a drink and some nibbles during the day. A beautiful, peaceful place to stay.

We left feeling deeply disappointed. I’ve stayed in over a thousand hotels, and this was the worst experience for service I can remember. The room was meant to be one of the nicer ones, but it was hidden at the very back and felt like a dungeon. Staff were friendly at check-in, but things went downhill that night when it rained. The front gate wouldn’t open when we got back, and we had no way to contact anyone at the property. After only about ten minutes of heavy rain, we were stuck outside. I’d had stomach surgery just over a month earlier and couldn’t risk straining my healing scar, but I had to climb over a huge fence. The Uber driver helped from one side and my boyfriend from the other, and my boyfriend’s hand was cut by the rocks and started bleeding. There was no power in the room when we got in. I understand there had been serious flooding in parts of town, but nobody messaged the next day to see whether they could help. When we asked about getting food, a staff member snapped, “I’m not a chef,” then brought only a few things, barely enough to get us through. We’d also run out of water. When I asked if someone could bring more, she agreed with an attitude, even though she had an umbrella and we didn’t, so we couldn’t go out and get any ourselves. The Wi-Fi never worked in the room, and phone reception back there was terrible. At checkout, we were an hour and a half late, leaving at 2 pm, and were told no one was available to help with our luggage. Our room was at the back, more than 100 steps from the front. I’d just had surgery and wasn’t supposed to exert myself. The same rude woman said, “there is nobody here to help with your bags, the bag guy leaves at 1.” Someone had helped carry our bags in when we arrived around 2 pm, the same time we were leaving, but when I pointed that out she said, “we were doing you a favor.” Carrying luggage to rooms seems like a basic hotel service, especially when there are so many stairs and rocks between places. The hotel is tucked away, far from everything, and I’d save the money and stay somewhere more local. The staff were rude, the food underwhelming, and the service appalling.

For me, this is Ibiza’s most inspiring retreat, a real sanctuary of beauty, calm, and refinement. Les Jardins de Palerm sits in the mountains with sweeping views and a feeling of complete peace. It’s a lovely place to recharge, whether you want to write, sit quietly with your thoughts, or simply have time to yourself. The property is cared for with real attention, and the colors, materials, and every other detail feel beautifully considered. I love it and recommend it wholeheartedly.

The setting gives you the best of both worlds: close to everything, but surrounded by nature and tucked away from the bustle. Both pools stay peaceful and uncrowded, so they’re great for unwinding at any time of day. The beds are wonderfully cozy, which makes it hard to get up for breakfast, even though it’s fresh and delicious. The design is elegant and charming, the comfort is next level, and the whole place feels like a calm little oasis in Ibiza.

This spring was my third year in a row staying at Jardines de Palerm, and I was there during the opening. I’ve never seen the property looking so beautiful or so well looked after. The weather was perfect, my room was really comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, always smiling. I had such a wonderful stay. Thanks to the whole team, I can’t wait to come back.
