Hipotels Cala Millor Park

The rooms feel a bit old, and our towels were already yellowish. The pool area is far too small for the number of people using it, with so many kids that you can’t really swim or relax. The floor also looked dirty, and the pool area smelled strongly of chlorine. After two half-hour visits, I started coughing, and so did my baby. It felt like it burned our lungs and eyes. I don’t know whether they’re aware of it or checking it properly. The Turkish bath worked one day and not the next. Breakfast and dinner buffets were okay, but one waitress kept touching our baby’s nose, face and hands while clearing dirty dishes, which I really didn’t understand. I wasn’t very pleased with our stay. We’re now at another Hipotels a few metres away, and it’s much better: better buffets and choice, newer and cleaner rooms, fewer people and children, a nicer pool area, less chlorine smell, friendlier people, and a spectacular view from the side sea view rooms.

Rain meant we spent a lot of time at the small, warm indoor pool, which was lovely for us with our 3-year-old and baby. There was plenty to choose from in the restaurant, and the staff were attentive and very nice. We enjoyed the cocktails and drinks at the bar too. The coffee could be improved, but that’s a minor detail, and the bar staff were friendly and attentive. The kids’ activities were great, from balloon animals and T-shirt painting to the kids disco. We had a terrific stay and would happily come back. Nothing to fault.

The hotel itself was nice, so I’m sad to leave this review. We stayed for a week at the end of April and everything was pleasant until the last night, when a cockroach fell from the ceiling or AC in the middle of the night. It was horrible, though I tried to tell myself it might have been a one-off. Then another cockroach came home with us to Germany, where I’d never seen one in our flat before, so there may have been more in the room. Please keep bags and luggage closed, and check them before packing. I should have done that. The last thing I wanted after the holiday was to deal with this.

The sea view from our very clean room was beautiful, and the staff were all so kind and helpful. They dealt with every request right away. There was a huge choice of food, and everything was fresh and delicious. I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making it so enjoyable! 🙏🌹🌹
