Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa

Our family-room setup worked well. The room was a good size, had what we needed and was cleaned daily. The lifts were always working, which helped with the pram. There were plenty of sunbeds, including free canopy beds, though some people reserved loungers at breakfast when they didn't need to. Our two-year-old loved the kids' splash pool, even if it was rather cold, and enjoyed the outdoor play area. The coffee shop on site was a nice place to get out of the sun. The location also made it easy to visit Sa Coma and explore further afield. Evening entertainment suited all ages, and bar and waiter service was good. Sergio Alvarez made a particularly good impression on our group. He was always smiling and nothing seemed to be a problem. He's a credit to the hotel, and we'd appreciate management passing on our thanks. We stayed from October 26 to November 2, 2025. We arrived on a wet, miserable Sunday and were told at check-in to come back later to book the restaurants, once check-ins were finished. When we returned, we were told they were all booked for the week. Our first dinner at Altair was in the cold, wet outdoor area, which wasn't a great start after being told we could book restaurants as part of our stay. The following evenings at Altair went better, with a good food selection. Thankfully, the holiday improved after that first night. We later got a phone call saying we'd been booked into three restaurants, which we were happy with, and the food there was really nice.

The adults-only pool was a highlight, with a swim-up bar in the afternoon sun. A few guests put towels on loungers early, but we always found a sunbed whenever we went. Our west-facing room caught afternoon sun over the pool, and we had access to a shared rooftop pool too. We didn't spend much time there, but it was a lovely extra. The building is striking, the interiors sleek and spotless, and the room was well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The buffet had plenty of choice at every meal, with something for everyone. Over four nights we didn't get tired of it, and the Asian restaurant was delicious. The only letdown was the pool snack bar, so I'd choose the lunch buffet instead. Cocktails and all-inclusive drinks were a great deal, with lots of options on and off the menu, and the bar staff were happy to make what we asked for. Entertainment was fine. We preferred the family area for later activities such as jukebox bingo. Some of the shows were excellent, especially the musical night. Most of all, the staff made our stay. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Thanks to Oscar and Matt at the bar, Diana from entertainment, and all the others whose names we can't remember. You made the holiday for us. We recently stayed at Protur Biomar and had high expectations for a hotel that isn't cheap. They met them, and even surpassed them. We got a lovely welcome, with a glass of cava and a really friendly reception team.

The buffet had a lovely selection, and the staff were great, polite and helpful. We stayed in the adults-only section, which was bliss. Our room and swim-up pool were both spacious, and the room itself was amazing. A beautiful hotel.

We spent a relaxing, happy week here with our two teenagers. There's plenty to do, all included, such as bike hire, tennis, volleyball and archery. We enjoyed the food and drinks a lot, and the evening music and entertainment were great fun. Reception staff were cheerful and helpful. It's a magnificent place for a family holiday. We'd definitely return if we found a good deal.
