AluaSun Mediterráneo Hotel

Our group of 7 and a toddler stayed for a week, half board, across 4 apartments, and loved it. There was a good breakfast selection, enough variety at the evening buffet, and drinks were reasonably priced. The other restaurant also did lovely pizzas and snacks. Richi was great with kids and adults, and the entertainment and relaxation felt well balanced. A couple of evenings had low key music. Staff were friendly and attentive, rooms were cleaned daily if you wanted, and there were never any sunbed problems like at other places. There’s a bus stop right outside for Mao and two supermarkets within walking distance. We’d definitely recommend it.

A car would be useful at this resort, although the hotel is on a bus route with a stop just outside and can arrange taxis to some nearby resorts. The local supermarket’s free delivery was very handy at the start of our holiday. It’s a well run apartment and hotel complex, with good facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and a nicely decorated, well equipped room with a very comfortable bed. I’d recommend it.

The kids loved playing air hockey and pool in the evenings, and the kids club leader was great at keeping children entertained, though our own kids were too old to join in. The pool area has a large pool, a smaller one and a splash area. The lifeguard was always on duty and greeted us morning and night. No sunbed wars either, since loungers can’t be reserved, giving everyone a fair chance. Our bungalow was spacious and clean, and it was great to have 2 sun loungers with it. Housekeeping did a brilliant job. We were half board and the food was plentiful and tasty. The restaurant staff were always friendly and smiling. Big thanks to Angie, Mariana, Lola and the rest of the team. There’s a free taxi to punta Prima beach, which we used twice, and a paid direct service to Mahón. It cost less than a taxi and was better than taking a bus. The nearest shop is about a half mile walk away, and there aren’t any beaches nearby, but we knew that when we booked. It was a nice surprise to find out there was a free service to the beach. We’ll definitely return. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay. It’s a great choice for a quieter holiday.

The rooms are a little dated, but the facilities are great, with a splash pad, play park and kids club. The club wasn’t brilliantly stocked, though the staff were good with the kids. We’ve just come back from a lovely stay in a quiet location. It isn’t a bustling village, so it’s not for you if you like browsing shops. The hotel runs a transfer to a local beach, but you need to book since it fills up quickly. We used taxis to get around and found them reasonably priced.
