Binivell Park - 30º apartments

We only found out our reservation had been cancelled by email after landing in Menorca, even though we'd had no trouble in the lead-up to our planned four-night stay. We called, texted and emailed repeatedly, but got no reply. Reception was closed when we arrived, despite being within its advertised hours, and there was nobody around to help. The three of us were young women left stranded in a country we didn't know, which could have gone very badly. We had to pay extra for taxis and last-minute accommodation for the week. They still haven't answered any of our messages. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The apartment did look nice from the outside.

The pool water was warm, but it was packed. The room was like a damp little cave, with no air conditioning and a constant rotting smell. We had to sleep with the window open and got bitten by what felt like a million mosquitoes. There was no cleaning service, so we were left with one towel and one set of bedding, and reception basically ignored our complaints. The place looks much better in the pictures. In person, it feels like a cheap, worn-out copy of a fishing village. The supermarkets nearby were very expensive and the quality was low. We didn't eat at the restaurants, but they looked just as bad. If I could give it less than one star, I would. Stay away!

They confirmed our booking the day before, then cancelled at 9pm just as we got off the plane. We tried emails, calls and messages, and went to the hotel in person, but they ignored every attempt and left us stuck somewhere we'd never been before. Since then, they've made no effort to contact us. Finding somewhere else to stay made the holiday really stressful. Being left with nowhere to go late at night in an unfamiliar country is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Disgusting service from everyone involved. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The room was lovely, with a decent kitchen and a good-sized bathroom, and reception were really helpful. It’s right by beautiful swimming spots, bars, supermarkets and a bus stop, and the price was great. There can be lots of people around during the day because it's such a beautiful tourist spot. I'd definitely come back, 10/10.
