Minura Hotel Sur Menorca

The pool was clean and just right, with no overpowering chlorine smell. It was nicely laid out, and the lifeguards were fun and joined in with pool activities, which made them easy to approach. Our room was very clean and well arranged, with a fridge and widescreen TV that were welcome extras. The beds were too firm and caused some discomfort now and then, but that didn’t get in the way of our holiday. The entertainment team made the daytime activities varied and fun. Bideau, the Fram rep, was especially friendly and funny, and helped my wife and me feel relaxed enough to join in. When I won a shooting activity, the team made me a fun certificate and announced it on stage. It was a funny moment I’ll remember. Staff throughout were cheerful and helpful, and cleanliness was second to none. The food and choice were fantastic. From arrival to departure, we had an amazing time and are already planning to return.

I’d love to come back. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff were always welcoming, and everything seemed well cared for. My room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, and the food was delicious with plenty of choice. My only suggestion is to add a small smoking area with tables, since smoking was only possible outside the hotel entrance.

The food was nice and plentiful, though it could have been warmer. The entertainment was very loud, but it finished around 10:30, so it wasn’t a problem. The complimentary bus to the beach was fine, but there wasn’t much to do there, and two sunbeds cost 18 euros. There’s also a bus to Mahon, which is lovely, and I enjoyed the boat trip. It’s a small hotel for a chilled week, but the location is in the middle of nowhere, so the bus is useful. The water park was closed, which was a shame when there isn’t much nearby. You’re charged a tax at check-in that wasn’t mentioned in the holiday booking. The hotel feels dated and needs a facelift. I’d call it more like three stars than four. I enjoyed the week, but couldn’t have done two.

We had a lovely September holiday, and have already booked to come back in May. We had a pool-view room this time, but didn’t book one for our next stay because it seemed quite expensive. The food was outstanding.
