Villa Pepita

The agent was very nice and did her best, but the maintenance guy came by a few times without fixing much. We still had a great holiday, though the villa needs care and I can't really recommend it as it is. It could be a terrific place for a group of 15, with a potentially terrific pool, but the property was very poorly maintained and had some safety issues. Broken pool tiles had been piled beside the pool, and attempts to stick them back while the water was in didn't seem ideal. Several things weren't working when we arrived: the gas bottles for the cookers were empty, there were no gas lighters, internet cables were loose and messy and needed sorting, and a toaster didn't work. The microwave was old and rusty. The showers only had two settings, very cold or very hot, so we had to watch the kids carefully. There was also no hot water in the downstairs kitchen, making dishwashing difficult, so we had to boil a kettle. It really seemed like nobody had checked these things.
