I spent a week here with my six-month-old while accompanying my wife on her annual work retreat. On the first day I tripped and broke my toe, and Ivette, who owns the hotel, was so kind. She drove me to the local medical centre, arranged a taxi to the big hospital in Vic for X-rays, and then she and the staff helped us all week. They carried my daughter up and down the stairs so we could stay in the upstairs room, which was cool and quiet. They’d offered us an accessible room downstairs, but that wouldn’t have worked for us. If my daughter was napping and I couldn’t leave her, they brought food and drinks upstairs. They provided a high chair, picked her up when I couldn’t, and were always reachable by phone when I needed something. My wife couldn’t leave the retreat, and there was no one else who could join us, so I couldn’t have managed alone. Their help saved the trip. They were genuinely kind, always smiling and offering to help, and looked after everyone else on the retreat with drinks or whatever they needed. It’s a beautiful rural family hotel, with a lovely old building and garden, a great pool, and a terrace for meals. The rooms stayed cool even without AC and had lots of character. The food was also super cheap and the portions were huge.

We held a week-long retreat here for our 15-person team, and Ivette and her staff looked after us so well. The rooms in the historic buildings were comfortable and very clean. The place is surrounded by nature in a beautiful area near Barcelona. We enjoyed the generous, tasty regional menu, especially with such attentive and kind service. The meeting rooms have projectors and sound equipment, plus movable tables and chairs. We highly recommend Hostal Rural Mas Blanc and hope to visit again.

On my motorbike trip I came across this little hostal with lots of character. The staff were friendly, though they didn’t speak English. The veranda outside has lovely arches and looks out over green forests and quiet surroundings. I didn’t have dinner, though they do serve food. And they bring your beer in a chilled glass, a nice touch. I recommend it.

We come back every year. It’s a beautiful building, with lovely walks nearby and a great rustic breakfast. Very peaceful.

The place looks great from outside and is very peaceful, and the service was good. But the food was simply terrible. We ordered a lot of different things and nothing was good. It didn’t taste fresh, the quality was poor, several dishes were cooked wrong, and they were full of oil. An average meal cost 22 euros. A total disaster.
