The room was spacious and laid out well, and the hotel is in a convenient location. The employees were the best part: warm, kind, and friendly, and they did their best to help even though they seemed busy and understaffed. There were problems with upkeep. The room had too few power outlets, and the key cards kept failing. Each time, I had to wait over five minutes for a replacement. The general cleanliness was okay, but the shower area hadn’t been cleaned properly. There’s no bathroom exhaust fan, so humidity lingers after showering. There’s no air conditioning. We had to open the window because it was too hot, but our room faced a highway, so it was noisy. My child couldn’t sleep well in the heat. If the cooling system worked properly, we could have kept the window closed and avoided the highway noise. Better cooling and maintenance would make the stay much more comfortable.

We had a pleasant stay, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good too, with a nice range of fresh choices. Miriam, Mamen, and Iris were especially kind, attentive, and helpful whenever we needed anything. It’s a welcoming hotel.

We had a decent stay at this Ibis in Barcelona. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and clean, and the hotel has useful amenities like a private garage and a small restaurant/bar. The location is very convenient. We did the early online check-in but still had to complete the whole process when we arrived. The receptionist said they were on a new system, and the wait was quite long, especially with a newborn and a dog. The hotel allows pets, but dogs aren’t allowed in the bar, which felt contradictory. There were a few things missing in the room: no mini fridge, and no free tea or coffee, just water. Toiletries weren’t provided in the bathroom, though reception can give them on request. It’s a good choice for a short visit, but could be improved.

The location was a tradeoff for the price. It takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour to reach Barcelona’s main attractions, with no more than two metro lines needed. The nearest L1 station is a 10-minute walk away, or three minutes by bus, and there are five bus routes. We felt safe in the area. After 10pm, the green space outside was still full of elderly couples chatting on the benches. In June 2026, we found the rooms good value, the staff friendly, and the housekeeping consistently good. Each day we came back to a clean room, and the cleaners politely checked if we were ready before starting, and were happy to return later. Everyone from reception to room keeping was friendly and welcoming. The double beds were extremely comfortable, with supportive pillows, clean sheets, and working facilities. On the fifth floor, the air conditioning ran well, which mattered in Barcelona’s heat. Towels were changed when we needed them. With the windows shut, the sound insulation worked very well despite the hotel being beside what seemed like a major road intersection, and we couldn’t hear neighboring rooms. There’s no kettle or fridge, as other reviews have mentioned. Only one side of the bed had sockets, though there was a black extension cable to pull out, which was a little inconvenient. One of our keycards kept failing, but reception fixed it quickly each time.
