Dream Marina

The bathroom floor really needs replacing, but otherwise the apartment was enough for us. We didn't need AC in February, and we had everything else we needed. It's centrally located, with a lovely old-fashioned interior, and the price and service were right.

The apartment itself was nice, but I found the owner rather unpleasant. They only communicated through WhatsApp and asked me for a passport photo over the phone at the last minute.

I can't recommend this place. The heat was unbearable, the curtains were stained brown, and the fans just pushed the hot air around. There was also a nauseating smell, like used tissues, along with what I can only describe as witchcraft and strange presences. It's a monitored vacation rental, but the two keys the owner gave us only opened the main entrance. The doorknob had number keys but no lock, so each time we went out we had to contact the owner to let us back in. Easily the worst apartment I could have found in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

This is the second place we've rented from Dream Apartment for our usual Christmas visit to family in Tenerife. Dream Cozy wasn't great, but Dream Marina has been unacceptable. The bathroom is a disaster: mold all over the shower, leaks on the walls and a damp floor. It's unhygienic, and claiming to meet hygiene standards feels disrespectful. The bedroom blind doesn't work, the other window opens on its own, and the street is incredibly noisy. The sheets are old and pilled, which is really unpleasant. We sent photos and messages on WhatsApp but haven't had any reply. We won't stay in these apartments again.
