The beach is basically for the apartment residents, and our place was beautifully furnished and clean. It's a peaceful escape, though there's only a beach shack within a reasonable walk. For anything else, you'll need a car to reach San Andres, about a ten-minute drive over a mountain. Walking there, especially at night, isn't really possible.
The flat's Wi-Fi never worked during our stay. They kept saying each day it would be fixed the next day, and by day five we'd had enough and left. We were unlucky with flat 507, whose service was the worst I've experienced in a decade. The owner hadn't warned us there was almost no mobile signal, so getting in touch when we arrived was a nightmare until a kind resident helped us. Arrange your arrival with the flat owner ahead of time. You definitely need a car for the steep roads and sharp bends, though the views are amazing. The area itself is wonderfully quiet, with no shops or anything nearby, just how I like it. You can hear the waves while sleeping, though they're very loud, or enjoy the lovely balcony view. We went to the south of the island after leaving, which turned out to be the best decision. It was stunning, and the rest of the trip was amazing.
